Damage Liability Waiver

Please review the following terms regarding your financial responsibility for property damage.

1. Guest Responsibility for Damages

You are financially responsible for any damage, theft, or loss that occurs to the rental property, furnishings, appliances, décor, amenities, or surrounding grounds during your stay.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Broken or missing items
  • Damage caused by pets
  • Stains or excessive cleaning beyond normal use
  • Damage to walls, floors, furniture, bedding, or electronics
  • Misuse of appliances, hot tubs, fire pits, grills, or other amenities
  • Damage caused by unauthorized guests or activities

2. Required Reporting

You agree to report any accidental damage or issues to the host within 12 hours of discovery or prior to checkout, whichever comes first.

Failure to report damage may result in additional charges.

3. Fees and Charges

If damage occurs, the host may charge:

  • Repair or replacement costs
  • Extra cleaning fees due to excessive mess, pet-related damage, or smoking violations
  • Lost revenue if the property becomes unrentable due to damage
  • Service or labor fees associated with repairs

A full breakdown of charges (photos + receipts) will be provided upon request.

4. Unauthorized Activities

You may be charged additional fees if any of the following occur:

  • Smoking inside the property
  • Bringing unauthorized pets
  • Hosting more guests than listed on the reservation
  • Tampering with safety devices, lockboxes, cameras, or Wi-Fi equipment
  • Throwing parties or disruptive events

Fees begin at $200, and additional charges may apply depending on damage.

5. Personal Liability & Safety

You are solely responsible for:

  • Your personal safety and the safety of your guests
  • Any injuries or accidents that occur due to misuse of the property
  • Loss or theft of personal belongings
  • Injuries or damages caused by pets or additional guests

The host is not liable for accidents, injuries, illness, or loss of personal items during your stay.

6. Outdoor Amenities

Use of outdoor amenities—including fire pits, grills, hot tubs, trails, water access, or recreation areas—is at your own risk.

Any damage caused by improper use may result in additional charges.

7. Agreement to Terms

By completing a booking through this website, you acknowledge that:

  • You have read and understand this Damage Liability Waiver
  • You accept financial responsibility for damage caused during your stay
  • You authorize the host to charge your payment method for repair or cleaning costs in accordance with this policy

If you do not agree with these terms, do not proceed with your booking.
